Aileen Mcgarry- Yard manager  

Aileen is very passionate about horses and has worked with them for the past 35 years. She trained right here at the Wirral Riding centre with Stephen Clarke Richard & Buttons Carruthers attaining her BHS AI.

She has worked within the dressage and showjumping domain as well as schooling many young horses and now runs the yard here at Wirral.


 

Emily Jones - Headgirl  
Emily is an enthusuastic, friendly individual who is passionate about working with horses. She has been riding for 13 years, and working within the horse industry for 5. She completed her national diploma in horse management at Reaseheath college. She has also completed her BHS stages 1 & 2 and is working towards her stage 3. As well as this she also has her riding and road safety, and child protection certificate.

In the summer of 201o she worked at an all girls riding camp in West Virginia USA. Where she taught girls of all ages and abilities. Emily is now training towards her PTT exam so she can further her career as an instructor.
 

Sophie Hughes - Yard assistant  
Sophie has over 10 years riding experience, she is passionate about working with horses and since being at the Wirral has gained her BHS stage 1 & riding and road safety. She is now working towards her stage 2 and her PTT to fulfil her ambition of becoming an instructor.

Sophie regularly competes her horse Woody in show jumping competitions and is hopes to develop him into a top event horse.
 

Debbie McCone - Instructor BHS AI  
Debbie McCone has been teaching in the industry for 10 years at established riding schools and privately freelance. Qualified to BHSAI and currently training to BHSII. She has her own horses which she regulary compete's in dressage and showjumping.

She also runs our Pony club here at the Wirral and is always trying to make the children feel at ease and build their confidence around all the ponies.....the cheeky ones and the well behaved ones!
 

Rachel Cook - Instructor  

Rachel is one of our part time instructors, and can sometimes also be seen helping out on the yard. She has a national diploma in horse management which she studied at both Myerscough & Reaseheath colleges. This included spending a summer at event rider Micheal Owens taking her horse 'Spud' along with her. After passing her BHS PTT exam Rachel teaches a variety of our clients, proving to be a popular member of the team!

Rachel lives for the sport of eventing and this year upgraded to BE Novice level, with the tricky 'Otto'. She wont rest until she has been around Badminton!

 

Dave Barber - Instructor   1

Dave has been an instructor at the Wirral Riding Centre for the past 2 years, and has been riding for 17 years. From 2001 - 2003 Dave had a successful career working in California USA as international groom / trainer.

He studied his equine qualifications at Reaseheath college where he gained BHS stage 1, NVQ 2, BHS riding & road safety, Health & Safety and first aid. He has recently gained his PTT and is currently working towards BHS stage 3 and BHS AI.

Dave owns the pretty mare Fern who is used on the riding school.

 

Sheila Hinchliffe - Instructor   1

Having worked in the industry for 33 years, I have a wide range of experience. I have ridden and taught people in the dressage, show jumping and eventing domain as well as bringing on many new horses. Nowadays I enjoy student training, and have taught many students over the years including teacher training.

Along the way I have achieved my BHSAI, BHSII and a stable management certificate in teaching in further education.

 

Justine - Yard assistant  

Justine has a real passion for horses, she has been working with them for over ??? years. She has spend 2 years at ??? where she gained her national diploma in equine management, BHS stage 1 and BHS riding road safety.

She is currently working towards her BHS stage 2, and her PTT teaching.

 

Pippa - Instructor    

Pippa is a instructor here at the Wirral Riding centre. She her passion for everything horse led her to get a degree BSC (Hons) Equine sports science along with her BHS AI. She currently works as instructor here at Wirral Riding centre as well as being a feelance instructor.
